Permanent Pilot

A permanent pilot is a "built-in" pilot aboard a Starship or Vehicle, shown by a pilot icon on the card. Permanent pilots are not characters and take on none of a character's features (Rebel, spy, ability, game text and so on) except those stated. For example, the permanent pilot of •Red Leader In Red 1 is not a leader. A permanent pilot provides ability only when the card's game text says so.[1] When a starship's or vehicle's game text is canceled, the ability its permanent pilots provide is unaffected.[2]
