Anagram
Decipher's photo for this card shows "Alien 18", an alien model built for Return of the Jedi that looks like a dianoga. It was dropped from the film because it was too hard to operate.[1] With no name from the film to use, Decipher called him a "Dianoga Dude" and scrambled the letters into Niado Duegad, which uses exactly the same eleven letters. Dianogas are tentacled carnivores that live in stagnant water and garbage and drag their prey under, so usually only the eyestalk shows. The best-known one lives in the Death Star trash compactor in Star Wars (1977).[2] The card's lore gives Niado an unrelated backstory, as a mercenary from Vodran, and doesn't mention dianogas. The 1990s fan list "Anagramed Decipherians" spells the answer "Diaogana Dude". That spelling has one more A than the card has, so it is most likely a typo.[3]
