Notes

  • Posted 'Tatooine (Ep1)' dested Tatooine (the posted note presumably names the Episode I printing).
  • Posted Nar Shadda Wind Chimes combo dested Nar Shaddaa Wind Chimes & Out Of Somewhere (the strategy plays Out Of Somewhere); Houjix combo dested Houjix & Out Of Nowhere; Wedge Antilles (unmarked) dested the printed card.

Strategy

"Watch Your Step? Who plays that anymore?" I do.

I've been looking for new and fun ways of using the WYS objective, and this is what I came up with. Basic idea is to get your speeders to the three docking bays, play T-47 Battle Formation, drain away, and retrieve Battle Formation with Celebration. With I'll Take The Leader on table, you're looking at a total drain potential of 14 a turn.

The deck is also a bit of a 'react'er. With the two Patrol Craft running around the surface of Tatooine, the two copies of Chimes & Out Of Somewhere, and Lobot (V), you've got some decent 'react' potential. A fun one to try: play Out Of Somewhere to pull Lobot (V) (drops free to a Scomp Link!), use Lobot (V) to pull Lando w/ Ax, then 'react' over with a Patrol Craft... it's not an "impossible combo"; I've done it a couple times already, and it's absolutely devastating.

Even more fun is tossing Lobot (V) on a Patrol Craft, 'react' with the PC, then use Lobot (V) to pull an alien. Ouch.

Setup is actually fairly simple. You should get a Luke, a Signal, or EBG in starting hand or after drawing up first turn. Get Luke on table (with some forfeit-fodder backup) quickly so that you can start using his card pulling abilities to grab Rogue 1. After that, keep pulling speeders and dropping smugglers on 'em! Don't forget that EBG can also pull Bacta Tank and Artoo BLD (check his lore, he's a maintenance droid).

Now some of my card choices...

Red 6, Red 7 - WYS is decidedly low on matching starships, so I thought I'd throw in a couple high-destiny X-wings in here. Red 6 is a destiny 6, while Red 7 is a destiny 4.

Rogue speeders - every other speeder has a permanent pilot, which translates into a +6 deploy cost. The Rogue speeders also have some basic immunity to attrition while EBG is on table.

Attrocity (V)/HotJedi - Walker damage? What walker damage?

Staging Areas - better activation potential if you can pull it early enough. If not, it's a destiny 3, so no harm done. >:)

Enjoy!
