Strategy

This deck uses This deal is getting worse all the time to set up dark deal on cloud city. I start with Cloud City: Upper Walkway because it is one of the more versatile sites (you get two force and can move to any other exterior site from here) and all wrapped up which gives me the option of caputing a character when it is hit. Using Any Methods Necessary allows me to put IG-88 into hand, along with IG-88’s Pulse Cannon. The pulse cannon is great because it is one of the few weapons that fires repeated for one force each. Vader I try to get a carbonite chamber w/ a saber to toss people to all too easy (opponent loses 8 force if objective is flipped). Boba fett and his blaster rifle do the same as ig88. Xizor, Guri and Lando provide more power to the ground. The Ungaughts are in the deck to be paired with imperials (power +4 in battle)Thrawn I use to pilot Executor and to control the bespin system. All the starships and vehicles are for controlling Bespin and Bespin: Cloud City. Bossk adds a destiny, Dengar cancels opponents immunity to attrition and adds 1 to your total battle destiny for each opponents starships. Zuckuss makes getting a battle destiny harder for your opponent. The Obsidian TIEs are very powerful at Cloud City and good backup in space. The cloud cars are a little weak but do provide some power. The Trooper assaults increase the power of troopers (there aren’t any in the deck at this time but there are three slots open for troopers, Im just not sure which I want to use). Aiiii! Aaa! Agggggggggg! does direct force loss if I get a captive. A real hero adds two battle destiny when lando battles on cloud city and if han is present can cancel an opponent’s destiny. The All too easys are in the deck to cause great force loss at carbonite chamber. The evader / monnok gives monnok with the added benefit of canceling revolutions. Ghhk and those rebels wont escape us cancels nabrun lieds (thus preventing a sudden beatdown) and if a beatdown does occur, to cancel extra battle damage. The Twi’lek advisors grab effects from reserve deck. The deck is based around operation both dark deal and cloud city occupation, thus I have put two of each in the deck. The must never again leave this city allows executor to deploy for free to bespin (I use flagship executor because I don’t have to other one, but dag executor is better for this deck), opponents movement away from bespin costs more and a tie a turn lost from bespin locations goes to hand rather than lost pile. Fear is my ally gets me the defensive shield opition. Crush the rebellion allows me to get evaders and limits opponents to two battle destinys per battle (shutting down extra destiny interrupts, etc). Bad feeling have I increases the cost of most commonly used characters. Reactor terminal provides the option to return cards to reserve deck, keeping your hand free from grimtaash problems and allows for high-setiny cards that aren’t needed to go back. I put a couple of bounties in so I can run a modest retrival operation. The jedi sabers I put in, mostly for added force drains and also easier character kills. This deck I have not been able to playtest as written, (I don’t have two cc occuptations) but I have tried playing it with a few other cards in it. I was not able to get control of Bespin or Bespin Cloud City, and wasn’t able to get anything set up.
