Bog-wing is a Light Creature (Avian) from Dagobah.
Card Text
* Ferocity = destiny -1. Habitat: Dagobah. Parasite: Character (that can move). Relocate Bog-wing and host up to two sites away (opponent of victim chooses). Bog-wing then detaches.
Lore
Large, flying jungle predator. One to five meters long, including tail. Swoops down and grasps victims in its claws. Young are born in mid-flight, as the mother drops from extreme altitude.
Strategy
Jedi training continues to be a persistant deck theme in tournament play. As with most strategies in Star Wars CCG, there are cards to counter the approach, but Broken Concentration and Failure At The Cave can be hard-to-obtain rares.
Consider a simpler, and slightly more versitle option: Bog-wings. In order for Jedi Test 1 (Great Warrior) to be completed, the mentor and apprentice must be at the same site. However, after deploying, the Light Side must wait until their following control phase to attempt the test. This gives the Dark Side one turn to prevent the training, by deploying a Bog-wing and watching it wisk one of the two targets to a different site. This constant movement can indefinately delay the training of an apprentice.
Should you find yourself playing an opponent without Jedi trianing, the Bog-wing can also be deployed to Yavin 4 and, ultimately, Endor for even more fun. A destiny of five could prove useful as well.
Combos:
Bog-wing + multiple Dagobah sites = With the Bog-wing carrying a character as far as two sites away, it could be a while before a mentor and apprentice see each other again.
Bog-wing + Bog-wing = Selective creatures don't devour each other, a flock of Bog-wings could give the Light Side a run for their money.
Bog-wing + He Is Not Ready = Give that would-be Jedi a common headache.
