Making Custom SWCCG Cards
Making custom Star Wars CCG cards is the community practice of reconstructing, updating, and printing cards using high-resolution templates. This wiki keeps a preservation copy of those templates so they remain downloadable if a Drive folder moves.
The templates on this page are Bardez’s 600 DPI GIMP (.xcf) files, first posted on r/starwarsccgalters in 2021. They are free community work, not Decipher or Players Committee product. Credit Bardez (Reddit u/Bardez) when you use them.
Why this page exists
A second download location matters. Google Drive folders get quota-locked, renamed, or unpublished. The templates are how people remake cards in the modern look, fix bad scans, and print Playtest cards or Reflections Gold reconstructions. This wiki stores the files and the notes that came with them.
Credit and source folders

Size, fonts, and GIMP notes
Bardez's Card Fonts and dimensions.txt (preserved here) is the working spec:
- Total card size: 1632 × 2220 pixels (about 600 DPI at 63×88 mm / Euro poker, the English retail size).
- Title: Fiorello CG Condensed, 80 px, kerning 1.0
- Destiny: Akzidenz-Grotesk BQ Extended Medium, 80 px
- Lore: Akzidenz-Grotesk BQ Light Condensed, size 58, kerning 0.8
- Game text: Akzidenz-Grotesk BQ Condensed Medium, size 60, kerning 1.5
- Card type / Power / Ability: Akzidenz-Grotesk BQ Condensed (Ability kerning is fiddly: IL +1, ITY −1.3)
- Deploy / Forfeit: Fiorello CG Condensed, 70 px
- Parsec: Craft Gothic Heavy Expanded, 65 px
- Use typographic quotes
‘’ “”and the uniqueness bullet•in titles; in game text the square bullet is different.
The templates are GIMP .xcf layered files (GIMP is free). Photoshop users convert XCF→PSD. Light Side carbon scoring is a separate layer problem Bardez noted in 2021; horizontal wide-vision / Enhanced templates were added later for some types.
A matching font pack is fonts.7z in the same folder. Expansion-symbol and icon layers live in Assets/.
How to use them
Open the template that matches the card type and side (Light or Dark). Replace the art layer, edit title / lore / game text, and export a print-ready PNG or PDF. Card backs are a separate template; this wiki also has no-text backs on Light Side and Dark Side.
These files are for reconstruction, playtest printing, and historical study. They are not a license to sell counterfeit Decipher product.
