Restore Freedom To The Galaxy (AI) is a Light Epic Event from Virtual Set 8.

Card Text

If Yavin 4 on table, deploy on table. If you just initiated a Force drain at a battleground system (except a 'liberated' system), may draw destiny. Add 1 for each piloted unique (•) snub fighter present at that system. If total destiny > 5, opponent loses 1 Force and stacks lost card face down there (while that card stacked there, system is 'liberated'). If opponent Force drains at a 'liberated' system, place stacked card in owner's Used Pile. At each 'liberated' system, your Force drains are +1 and opponent's starships are deploy +1.

Rulings

  • When Light Force drains, Dark gets first optional response, and may cancel the drain (e.g. with Control), preventing Light from responding with a destiny draw attempt to liberate the system.[1]
  • When Light liberates a system, the Force drain +1 bonus is immediately applied to the very same Force drain that triggered the liberation.
  • When Dark Force drains, placing the stacked card in owner's Used Pile is an automatic response, occurring before optional responses such as Light using Control or Blue Squadron 1 to cancel the drain.
  • If a player loses Force from hand to stack under a system, it is first revealed to both players, then stacked face down.
  • If a player loses Force from Life Force to stack under a system, it is not revealed to anyone. Stack it face down, unseen.
  • Only Dark may view Dark's cards after they are stacked face down under a system.
