A Jedi's Concentration is a Light Interrupt (Used or Lost Interrupt) from Tatooine.
Card Text
USED: If a battle was just initiated where you have a character armed with a lightsaber, characters may not be targeted by lightsabers for remainder of battle. LOST: If opponent just initiated a duel, opponent must choose to lose 4 Force or cancel the duel.
Lore
Luke's experience on Dagobah gave him great skill in using the Force. Vader had to keep his focus on Luke at all times, or face the consequences.
Strategy
Sometimes, you just want a little insurance. And this nifty Interrupt is like a double-breasted, gilt-edged, full-coverage package for some embarrassing situations.
As a Used Interrupt, A Jedi's Concentration is the perfect bodyguard: play it to prevent anyone from being targeted by lightsabers for the remainder of a battle – as long as you've got someone with a lightsaber there, too. While this locks your lightsabers out of the battle, too, sometimes, the trade-off is worth it. Imagine that your fledgling main squad of EPP Luke, Han, and Chewie is ambushed by Darth Vader, his buddy Darth Maul, and their girlfriend, Mara Jade – all armed with lightsabers. Keeping Han and Chewie (and their high forfeit values) alive is more important than a shaky swing at any of the Dark Side characters.
A Jedi's Concentration is also a great way to give a duel-happy opponent pause. Lose this Interrupt, and your opponent must either cancel the duel or lose a whopping 4 Force! While duels may have been few and far between, expect the scene to heat up with the introduction of Darth Maul, who absolutely hates concentrating Jedi – they make him lose 5 Force to initiate his duel instead of one!
Use A Jedi's Concentration against Darth Maul to both protect his saber and save Obi-Wan from his duel.
