Card Text
Deploy on table. Opponent may deploy Amidala from Reserve Deck; reshuffle. If Maul present with Amidala and opponent has no Jedi there, she is captured. Once per game may take If The Trace Was Correct into hand from Reserve Deck; reshuffle. (Immune to Alter.)
Lore
Utilizing his 'dark eye' probe droids and sensory equipment, Maul knew he would eventually find his target.
Strategy
This key effect, which can be "prepped" with Prepared Defenses from the Death Star II set, allows you to play with the "capture the Queen" deck type for Episode I. If your opponent is playing with Amidala (Padme), they will be able to pull her out and basically give you an opportunity to capture her.
Padme Naberrie is sure to show up in some decks since she can call Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to come (from the Reserve Deck) and protect her. Once you have her captured with Darth Maul, you can gain all the incredible, eye-opening bonuses from the If The Trace Was Correct epic event.
