Virtual Shields (Legacy Defensive Shields) is a Players Committee legacy virtual expansion. These cards are no longer valid for competitive play; use the Decipher sets and the current virtual sets (2014 Reset onward).

The hub Date keeps the earlier first-appearance window ~2006-07 (Defensive Shields / Virtual Shields packaging placed between Virtual Sets 11 and 12 on contemporaneous secondary lists; "Premium Set 1" is a soft/historical label, not a proven PDF banner on this wiki). Primary PDF brackets: after VS11 official text 4 December 2006 and before VS12 official text 9 January 2007 (exact Original shields PDF / news day still unknown; Alpha1 NOT FOUND). The shields were later grouped/labeled as Virtual Block Defensive Shields in the September/October 2009 Block packaging era (cardlist snapshot 2 October 2009).

The combined legacy list is also published as Virtual Master on the Players Committee cardlists.

Some of these cards were later reused in the current virtual sets (2014 Reset onward), usually with updated frames and set icons.
