Strategy

The "grabber" Immediate Effects, such as There'll Be Hell To Pay, have been tournament staples for years. Since Interrupt abuse is quite a valid strategy in SWCCG, this cards helps ease the burden of a cheese-loving opponent by both removing Interrupts from circulation and forcing an opponent to pay exponential amounts of Force for each copy he plays. But what if I told you that there were allegations of a better version of There'll Be Hell To Pay, allegations that you could start with it in play? Well, the rumors are true. I give you Allegations Of Corruption.

Allegations Of Corruption has almost exactly the same effect as There'll Be Hell To Pay, save that it is a free Effect that is immune to Alter – perfect to pull with Twi'lek Advisor, Neimoidian Advisor, or Prepared Defenses. In function, it works the same as its inspiration from half a decade ago.

The uses of this card are limited only to your opponent's depraved imagination. Interrupt abuse these days ranges from old standbys, like Organized Attack, to the vicious revival of Fallen Portal, to a soon-to-be-increased revival in Sense and Alter use in the new Episode I environment. Start with Allegations to nip any troublesome Interrupt use in the bud before it becomes a headache later on in the game. Its mere presence may even be enough to scare your opponent into holding onto all those duplicate Interrupts until he needs them... which is when you hit him with that other old standby, Monnok.

So what keeps There'll Be Hell To Pay in the running? Well, Allegations Of Corruption is unique, so it can only handle one Interrupt at a time. So start with it and keep a There'll Be Hell To Pay or two in your deck to take care of any secondary (or even tertiary) offending Interrupts.
