Unpublished identifications
Left to right, numbered as in the description. 1, 2, 4 and 5 are published. 3 is held until someone who was there confirms him.
- 1 Matt Sokol: Bill Bisco, 25 October 2026. Published.
- 2 (white cap, glasses): face resembles Brian Terwilliger in File:Team Albany 2000 Team Championship.jpg (round face, wide grin, glasses). The caption names "the Terwilligers". Bill Bisco identified him as Brian (personal communication, 25 October 2026). Published as File:Brian Terwilliger DecipherCon 1999.jpg.
- 3 (yellow shirt, no cap, light brown hair): the caption's "some other guy". Bill Bisco (25 October 2026): not a Terwilliger. Besides Sokol, Chu and the Terwilligers, the DecipherCon 1999 Wild Card scores (SW01) list Aaron Kingery and Dan Sokol. Jim Sokol is in other DecipherCon 1999 scores. No photo of any of them from that era is on the wiki. Held.
- 4 (kneeling, glasses): face resembles Chris Terwilliger in the 2000 team photo (longer face, glasses, dark hair). Martin Terwilliger also played at DecipherCon 1999 (Young Jedi and Wild Card scores), so "the Terwilligers" may include him. Bill Bisco identified the kneeling player as Chris (personal communication, 25 October 2026). Published as File:Chris Terwilliger DecipherCon 1999.jpg.
- 5 Jonny Chu: Bill Bisco, 25 October 2026; matches the 2000 team photo. Published.
Missing data: the Players Committee forum lists a DeckTech report "DCon 99 Wildcard" (decktech.net treports id 109). Neither the Skilton archive nor the Wayback Machine has it.

Player 3 search (26 October 2026)
Bill Bisco suspects Aaron Kingery. Nothing found so far names player 3, so he stays not identified.
- The caption says "a Sokol", so the photo shows one Sokol. Player 1 is Matt Sokol, which leaves out Dan Sokol and Jim Sokol.
- Other Albany-area players in the SW01 Wild Card scores: Aaron Kingery (16th), Chris Talbot (89th) and Jon Schultz (45th).
- Captions on all 174 DecipherCon 1999 photo pages in the Wayback Machine (Thursday to Sunday) were read. Only thu16 names Team Albany. Player 1 also appears in thu05, playing in the Wild Card hall.
- Brian Terwilliger's TAWND - Team Albany Will Never Die video (27 May 2021) uses this photo at 0:13. It names no one. Preserved copy: Internet Archive
- Brian's Binghamton report (August 1999) lists the Albany group as his family, Aaron Kingery, Matt and Dan Sokol, and Johnny Chu. Preserved copy: Internet Archive
- No captioned photo of Kingery, Talbot or Schultz from 1999 to 2002 was found. Art Wright (File:Art Wright DecipherCon 2002.jpg) is not in the DecipherCon 1999 scores.
- The DeckTech report "DCon 99 Wildcard" (id 109) is not in the Skilton archive or its GitHub source. No Wayback captures turned up for the URL forms tried.

Players 3 and 5 identified (27 October 2026)
Matt Sokol identified the man in the yellow shirt on the right (player 3) as his brother Dan Sokol and the man in the white T-shirt (player 5) as Jonny Chu (personal communication to Bill Bisco, 27 October 2026). Player 3 is no longer held. The description now names him, and his crop is File:Dan Sokol DecipherCon 1999.jpg. The caption's "a Sokol" undercounts: Matt and Dan Sokol are both in the photo. Clarification: "on the right" above means Dan Sokol is third from left, the rightmost of the four players in yellow Team Albany shirts (not Jonny Chu, who is at the far right in white). Comlink Cursor (talk) 11:28, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
