Card Text

Deploy on table. If Rebel Strike Team on table, your Force generation is +1 at Endor sites and you may deploy Back Door from Reserve Deck; reshuffle. When Bunker 'blown away,' retrieve 8 Force and opponent must place their hand in Used Pile. (Immune to Alter.)

Lore

Lando's confidence in the Rebel strike team on the forest moon was rewarded, and proved to be a decisive factor at the Battle of Endor.

Strategy

By From: Joe Helfrich[1]

Ever since it was released, Rebel Strike Team has been one of those objectives that I really wanted to make a killer deck out of, but just couldn't quite manage one that could stand up to many different deck types. The Shield Is Down brings a wonderful power boost to the objective.

If this is one of your starting effects (along with say, Insurrection and Strike Planning) you'll be generating 6 force your first turn, even if your opponent doesn't give you any, enough to deploy both General Solo and General Madine to the Rebel Landing Site. Better yet, use 2 force to deploy the Bunker, deploy Back Door from reserve deck with The Shield Is Down! and use Insurrection to deploy the Endor Landing Platform and generate a whopping 12 force on turn 2! Or replace Insurrection with Squadron Assignments, deploy General Solo aboard the Tyderium at Endor, and use Covert Landing to fill the shuttle with scouts. Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight, Daughter of Skywalker, and Chewbacca of Kashyyyk--along with Luke's Lightsaber, Anakin's Lightsaber, and Chewbacca's Bowcaster--deploy for only 11 force to the Rebel Landing Site. If you have the force, you have the capacity to deploy up to 4 more scouts

characters landspeed of 2, or Corporal Beezer to get Obi's Journal from the reserve deck your next deploy phase. These guys should be more then enough to make any defensive force stationed in the bunker a little wary.

Better yet, that's just the first half of the card. Once you control the Bunker, you can blow it away. Then you can retrieve 8 force and make your opponent to put his hand in his used pile before he loses his 8 force. With no cards in his hand, you should have at least another turn before he can call up reinforcements!
