Card Text
Deploy on one of your starfighters. During any control phase, may target one opponent's capital starship present. Starfighter attaches to target (automatically moves with target and is 'concealed'). May detach at any time (even as target begins to move).
Lore
Special modification for starfighters. Size may vary depending on mass of starship. Allows a stable connection to a spacedock, uneven terrain or even another starship.
Rulings
- Show that the starfighter is attached by physically placing it on the opponent's capital starship.[1]
- While starfighter attached ('concealed'):The starfighter and cards aboard it are inactive (except for Homing Beacon and the Landing Claw itself).Prevents opponent from Force draining. If the capital starship is lost, the starfighter is also lost. The capital starship 'carries' the starfighter, the starfighter is not considered to be moving. If the capital starship lands, the starfighter remains attached. If the capital starship is landed when the starfighter detaches (or Landing Claw is canceled), the starfighter becomes landed there if possible, otherwise it is lost.
- When the starfighter detaches (or Landing Claw is canceled), the starfighter returns to normal (is no longer attached/'concealed').
- Starfighter may either detach as a top level action, or when the capital starship is about to move (after destination has been specified and its movement cost has been paid).
- Although an attached Light starship blocks Dark's Force drains, it does not prevent Dark from controlling a system (e.g. Dark can cancel Cloud City Celebration while a Light starship is attached).
