Part of Jabba's Gamorrean security force. Negotiating with the B'omarr monks regarding his possible defection.
Strategy
Ghana Gleemort is one of Jabba's Gamorrean guards. Despite his negotiations with the B'omarr Monks, he is still a Dark Side character with some interesting game effects.
First, let's go over the basic stats. With a power of 5 and a destiny of 3, this character already has certain obvious advantages in a deck. Despite his nice power and destiny, where Ghana really shines is in his gametext. The Dark Side has typically had fairly high deploy costs for its characters, starships, and combat vehicles. Ghana is able to enhance the Dark Side's deployment capabilities thanks to his Force generation boost. When the Light Side has X number of aliens at the same and adjacent sites, the Dark side generates +X force.
With alien-rich decks with cards like Watch Your Step all the rage for the Light Side, one of two things can happen. First, the Light Side player may deploy as normal at and around Ghana's site, providing the Dark Side player with a welcome Force boost that allows him to respond more effectively to the Light Side swarm.
Second, the Light Side player may wish to deprive the Dark Side of the extra Force generation by abandoning or under-deploying to the sites around Ghana. This second possibility gives the Dark Side an easier time of controlling and draining at those sites.
In addition, Ghana gives the Dark Side player the option of temporarily ignoring the Light Side presence at both adjacent sites by canceling Force drains there. Sure, it will still cost the loss of a Force for each adjacent drain so canceled, but if the Light Side has several Lightsabers at the adjacent Cantina boosting the Force drain, the single Force loss is really a minor consideration. Either way, the Light Side is likely to come after Ghana Gleemort and, with an ability of 2, Ghana will likely need some protection from weapons. Expect to see him safely within the confines of an Imperial Walker.
