Strategy

Ask anyone who has played SWCCG very much what is the Dark Side's biggest advantage? Chances are that the answer will be Imperial Star Destroyers. These massive ships just may be the most cost efficient cards in the game. For eight Force you deploy one card, and get eight power and nine forfeit. Then by adding up to six pilots the power could easily go over 20, and the forfeit even higher. One for one the Light Side can not match it. By spending eight Force the Light Side can deploy two Correllian Corvettes and get ten power, but this requires two cards. From a card economy vs. power perspective nothing can match a massive fleet of Star Destroyers.
But even these mighty behemoths have some weaknesses. First they are slow. With only a hyperspeed of three they are among the slowest ships in the game. Don't even think about tryng to keep up with a group of Rebel starfighters. And the Millennium Falcon; forget it. Second is that they are subject to attrition.
But place R3-T6 on a Star Destroyer, and these problems go away. The benefits that R3-T6 provide are threefold. First thing this little guy does is make a good thing better. Plus one to power to make a typical Star Destroyer power nine. Next is plus two to hyperspeed to make the hyperspeed four for the Executor, five on an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer, and six for a Victory Class. Now not only can you outrun most starfighters you can almost keep up with the Falcon.
Third and by far not least is that the Star Destroyer and everything on it become immune to attrition less than four. This makes it very tough for the Rebels to chip away at your strength with little battle destiny draws, while they absorb the damage with their high forfeit values.
The only problem with R3-T6 is that it is unique. However his big brother R1-G4 is not, and works very much the same.
Combos:
R3-T6 + Deflector Shield Generators: The presence of these two cards on a Star Destroyer will make the Imperial Star Destroyer power nine, armor eight, hyperspeed five, and immune to attrition less than six.
R3-T6 + R1-G4: Get around R3-T6's uniqueness by using this older, slightly weaker droid to protect your other Star Destroyers. Or combine both on a Star Destroyer to get power ten, and hyperspeed 6. Now you can even keep up with the Falcon. That's enough to make you want to put racing stripes on the Devastator.
R3-T6 + Death Star + Death Star: Central Corridor: The Death Star now moves at a blazing Hyperspeed of 2. You can get to Hoth or Dagobah twice as fast and Blow them Away before they even know what hit them.
