Deploy on Podrace Arena. Draws 2 race destiny instead of 1. During your draw phase, if opponent has a higher race total than Anakin's Podracer, draw 3 race destiny next turn and choose 2. Once per game may take I Did It! into hand from Reserve Deck; reshuffle.
Lore
Built from Radon-Ulzer racing engines that Watto regarded as too burned-out to be of any use. New fuel injection subsystem created by Anakin radically increases thrust.
Strategy
Like the Indianapolis 500? Have a "Need For Speed?" Fond of racing like in Initial D? Did you enjoy the Podrace scene the best in The Phantom Menance?
The characteristics of this famous podracer is well represented in the game text. It maybe not be the fastest of all the podracers, but it is incredibly good at catching up (i.e. getting to choose two racing destinies) when you are losing the podrace -- which is almost always the case since the Sebulba has a few tricks to get a good start! Being able to pick and choose your destiny is very handy especially at the beginning of the game since you have not had the opportunity to setup your destiny draws yet.
The last aspect of Anakin's Podracer is that you can take the I Did It! epic event into hand. So instead of a 12 card swing from the Boonta Eve Podracing epic event, you get a 16 Force swing instead. And since you've done it and are headed to Disneyland, you will also get additional bonuses from I Did It! which last the remainder of the game.
Rulings
- When drawing 2 race destiny, Light decides to stack after each draw, and may stack both.[2]
- When drawing 3 race destiny and choosing 2, draw all 3 first, then choose exactly 2 to stack.
