Ominous Rumors is a Dark Effect from Endor.
Card Text
Use 2 Force to deploy on Endor system if opponent controls no Endor sites. Your Force drains are +2 at up to X other battleground systems, where X = number of Endor sites you occupy. Effect canceled if opponent controls three Endor sites. (Immune to Alter.)

Rumors of a new 'technological terror' filled the galaxy with dread.
Strategy
The Hoth expansion introduced Echo Base Operations, and Cloud City included Dark Deal. Now Endor gives us Ominous Rumors, another Effect that can have an entire deck strategy built around it. As with the other Force drain bonus cards, this one requires a balanced deck; control of both battleground systems and Endor sites. The payoff is increased Force drains in space, a feature where the Dark side has struggled in the past. Meeting the basic requirements of Ominous Rumors will give the Dark side a Force drain of 4 at the Endor system! As with EBO, the Imperials must retain control of Endor sites to keep Ominous Rumors in play. This Effect may have limited value in Endor booster draft play, since it must be deployed before the Light side controls any Endor sites, and there are only 3 systems available in the expansion. If a player was fortunate enought to get Ominous Rumors up and running, however, they would drain their opponent out very quickly. It is also one of the two staple cards required to flip your Endor Operations objective.
Combos: - will give a Light side Hidden Base deck some serious trouble. Spread out, probe and drain with TIEs without fear of battle damage.
- At the Endor: Bunker or any Endor battleground site, Dyer prevents the cancellation of your Effect. Ominous Rumors + Endor: Bunker + Perimeter Patrol discouraging them form coming to ground while you dominate the skies.
