Deploy on a location. Your Force generation is +1 here. Also, if you 'probe' opponent's 'Hidden Base' system, opponent loses X Force, where X = 15 - number of systems on table. You take no battle damage where you have a 'probe' card. (Immune to Alter.)

Oh.... you've got a Hidden Base? Have no fear, we'll find it..... This is one of the large nails that Endor put in the old school Hidden Base deck. It allows you to compete in space without having to devote as much starship power as the Light Side Hidden Base player probably has devoted. It carries two side effects. One is to discourage the Hidden Base player form attempting an early flip. Once probing begins and he only has 5 systems in play, you can knock them short time. Nasty damage for Light Side is the result. It pays for the Hidden Base player to delay for a few more systems, forcing that awful decision of whether or not the should flip early to go for the drains or hold out until they can scare you away from space altogether. The Imperial Navy is not easy to scare.

Additionally, your somewhat more meager fleet is protected form the perils of the outrageous one turn beat-down - a common complaint from old X-Wing S-Foil swarms which could devastate the Imperial Fleet as well as the Dark Side Reserve Deck in one blow! The other function just increases the utility of this card, adding a bit of Force generation - even providing a little extra help against Force Choke decks. But remember, you cannot begin probing until AFTER the opponent flips his Hidden Base Objective - be sure to time your moment well.
