Greedo isn't the greatest alien. In fact, nearly everybody says that his card isn't even worth space in a deck. But, in some cases, he can really be useful.
At a deploy cost of one, this bounty hunter's power is two, his ability is one, his destiny is two, but his forfeit is only a half. Greedo also possesses a special ability which allows him to "threaten" Smugglers. His game text says: " During opponent's control phase, may "threaten" one smuggler at same site. Opponent may use all force pile cards to cancel "threat", allowing you to activate the same amount. Otherwise, draw destiny. If destiny plus Greedo's ability is >6, smuggler is lost."
Now I know what you are thinking. "Why would anyone use Greedo? His forfeit stinks, and to kill a smuggler, the destiny must be a six!" While all of this is true, there are always ways to improve things.
For instance, to improve his forfeit, keep him around the dark side's Tatooine: Mos Eisley. Here, Greedo's forfeit would get a plus one bonus, and his power would be three.
Another quick way to boost his forfeit is to slap a Stormtrooper Utility Belt around his waist. Greedo's forfeit and power would both get a plus one bonus, but if he was on the Death Star, the bonus would be plus two. Now, a forfeit of two and a half isn't bad.
If you have a lot of destinies of six in your deck, you will be able to "threaten" major smugglers like Han, Chewbacca, and even Wedge Antilles easily if you have certain cards that will help you.
An Electrobinoculars would be ideal to locate destinies of six, if only the dark side had this device. So, use Reegesk, Tonnika Sisters or any other way to steal them from your opponent. Electrobinoculars is a very popular and powerful card, so you don't have to really worry about your opponent not having them.
Another good way to find destinies that you need is with R2-Q2. When at a scomp link, R2-Q2 enables you to peek at the top three cards of your reserve deck during your draw phase for one force. By knowing what your destiny is, even if it isn't a six, you can still bluff because your opponent won't know if you are lying or not.
Greedo's forfeit value and special ability to "threaten" smugglers aren't great, but when combined with certain cards it can really be helpful.
