Agendas: peace, trade. While in a senate majority, once during opponent's turn, target an opponent's just drawn battle destiny; opponent must use or lose 2 Force or that battle destiny = 0.

Alderaanian senator. Known for her efforts to promote peace throughout the Republic by using her homeworld as an example.

Strategy

This is a senator you'll definitely want to use. She has a peace agenda, and her game text makes it painful for your opponent to effectively fight. When you use her ability, no matter what the opponent decides, it's good for you. Either your opponent has fewer cards to draw or loses 2 Force, or your characters stay safe with the opponent drawing a 0 for battle destiny. With destiny-canceling cards like Wedge Antilles, Red Squadron Leader, you can even cancel the destiny after the opponent pays for it.

With her peace agenda, the Political Effect that she can best use is I Will Not Defer. This gives you extra Force when opponent initiates battles. This can help you pay for interrupts if your opponent has First Strike on the table, or can give you the 2 Force you need to play Clash of Sabers to exclude a crucial character.

You have to pay for your interrupts in battle – no problem, Liana has you covered!
