Playtest cards

Playtest cards are non-retail Star Wars CCG pieces used while Decipher designed the game, plus later collector copies of those tests. They are not the same object as Reflections Gold playtest stickers (a cancelled 2001 product). English retail cards are 63×88 mm; playtest pieces vary (photocopies, line-art sheets, stickers on white-border stock, early color layouts).

This page inventories the scans in the community MPC print-ready Drive Playtest folder (Lightside / Darkside), linked from r/starwarsccgalters. Category One's 2008 forum thread also posted Dagobah-era playtests (Millennium Falcon, Executor, Emperor).

What the tests show

Several prototype languages never reached retail:

• Influence — a card type that deployed under a character or location (examples: Saturday, Bullseye Womp Rats).
• Sidegame Effect — Dejarik Hologame (#1), a mini-game on the table.
• Special New Category — an unprinted interrupt-stacking piece filed as "grabber" on the Drive.
• Early stat lines used Battle instead of Power, and Force Energy stars instead of Ability.
• Identity lines that later became characteristics (Jedi Knight printed on a Vader test; Dark Knight on an earlier Vader sheet).

Joke and unpublished concepts sit in the same Drive folder (Skywalker Ranch; a Dark-framed Millennium Falcon).

	Millennium Falcon	Light	Dagobah-era C1G sticker (also in forum t=18282). "Deploy for opponent to use. May replace any Falcon." Power 2, Maneuver 2, Hyperspeed 1.
	[multiple Interrupt Inhibitor]	Light	Unprinted "Special New Category". Stacks copies of an interrupt; later copies cost more Force.
	Dejarik Hologame (#1)	Light	Unprinted Sidegame Effect. Dejarik cards must challenge; both draw destiny; loser is lost.
	Skywalker Ranch	Light/Dark site	Joke two-sided location. Game text on both sides: "If you occupy, Decipher gets the CCG license here."
	AT-AT Walker	Dark	Combat Vehicle. Power 6, Armor 8, Landspeed 1. Permanent pilot ability 1.
	Millennium Falcon	Dark	Dark-frame Falcon prototype (Drive filename dark falcon). Power 2, Armor 3, Hyperspeed 1. Opponent may move to same location as a 'react.'
	Death Star	Dark	Drive Darkside color layout.
	Emperor	Dark	Dagobah-era C1G scan also in forum t=18282. Power 2, Ability 7, Jedi Master. Deploy only on Death Star; if both sides have presence, both must initiate battle.
	Executor	Dark	Capital: Super Star Destroyer. Power 12, Armor 12, Hyperspeed 2. May add 10 pilots, 12 passengers and 1 Star Destroyer. Also in forum t=18282.
	Image Of The Dark Lord	Dark	Drive Darkside color layout.
	Imperial Commander	Dark	Leader. Power 2, Ability 2. Other Imperials (except leaders) are forfeit +1 with him.
	Saturday	Dark	Influence prototype (blank art box). "Your own personal force is increased to 2 when it is Saturday." Deploy under any Imperial location.
	Stormtrooper	Dark	Earliest layout: line art, Deploy 0, Battle 1, Forfeit 3, Force Energy 1 star.
	Darth Vader	Dark	Photo layout closer to Premiere. Power 6, Ability 5, printed identity Jedi Knight. Lore names Anakin Skywalker and the Clone War. Losing-battle destiny 5 loses another Dark character.
	Darth Vader	Dark	Earlier sheet: line art, Deploy 5, Battle 4, Forfeit 8, Force Energy 4 stars. Keywords: Pilot skills, Force Sensitive, Dark Knight.

Reflections Gold playtests

Card backs and size

Retail backs are shown on Light Side and Dark Side. The Drive also has no-text template backs for print-and-play. Printed English cards are 63×88 mm (Euro poker).
